CHARACTER.

14.jpg
Its never cushy nor easy to attain character,
Pluperfect, perfect, perfectible character,
We don’t inherit but develop character,
We need  a baronial noble character.

God gives the talent and power of mind,
Power to form awe-inspiring character,
Character formed by ardous battle with self,
We need a baronial noble character.

We all can change our character,
Let not your tongue nor mind belief,
Belief that you cannot change defects in character,
We need a baronial noble character.

We accomplish littlle by attempting lilliputian,
Don’t live life without standards to li-attain,
You will receive reward proportionate to work,
We need a baronial noble character.

You can never reach high standard,
Standards higher than that you yourself set,
Set high and achieve step by step,
We need a baronial noble character.

Be ambitious to develop your character,
For things to improve, you must improve,
For things to change, you must change,
For things to get better, you must be better.

Self-esteem.

In all the world, there is no one else exactly like me. There are people who have some parts like me but no one adds up exactly like me. Therefore, everything that comes out of me is authentically mine because I alone choose it. I own everything about me—my body, including everything it does; my mind, including all my thoughts and ideas; my eyes, including the images of all they behold; my feelings, whatever they might be—anger, joy, frustration, love, disappointment, excitement;my mouth and all the words that come out of it—polite, sweet and rough, correct or incorrect; my voice, loud and soft; all my actions, whether they be to others or myself.

I own my fantasies, my dreams, my hopes, my fears. I own all my triumphs and successes, all my failures and mistakes. Because I own all of me, I can become intimately acquainted with me. By so doing, I can love me and be friendly with me in all my parts. I can then make it possible for all of me to work in my best interests. I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me, and other aspects that I do not know. But as long as I am friendly and loving to myself, I can courageously and hopefully look for the solutions to the puzzles and for ways to find out more about me.
However I look and sound, whatever I say and do, and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time is me. This is authentic and
represents where I am at that moment in time.
When I review later how I looked and sounded, what I said and did, and how I thought and felt, some parts may turn out to be unfitting. I can discard that which is unfitting and keep that which proved fitting, and invent something new for that which I discarded. I can see, hear, feel, think, say and do. I have the tools to survive, to be close to others, to be productive, to make sense and order out of the world of people and things outside of me.
I own me and therefore I can engineer me. I am me and I am okay. ”

Start before you’re ready.

12
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”

Most people wait. They believe they can start after they have enough time, money, connections and credentials. They wait until they feel “secure.” Not people who are unstoppable.

Unstoppable people started last year. They started five years ago before they even knew what they were doing. They started before they had any money. They started before they had all the answers. They started when no one else believed in them. The only permission they needed was the voice inside them prompting them to move forward. And they moved. If you still need permission, you probably not ready to be unstoppable.

UNSTOPPABLE!

unstoppable4

A lot of people are good at what they do. Some are even elite. A select few are completely unstoppable.

Those who are unstoppable are in their own world. They don’t compete with anyone but themselves. You never know what they will do—only that you will be forced to respond. Even though they don’t compete with you, they make you compete with them.

What makes one unstoppable, what do these select few do? What do they know? Do you want to learn? By the end of this series, you should be able to know what to do to be unstoppable.

1. Don’t think—know and act.

“Don’t think. You already know what you have to do, and you know how to do it. What’s stopping you?” — Tim Grover.

Rather than analyzing and thinking, act. Attuned to your senses, and with complete trust in yourself, do what you instinctively feel you should. As Oprah has said, “Every right decision I have ever made has come from my gut. Every wrong decision I’ve made was the result of me not listening to the greater voice of myself.”

The moment you start thinking, you’ve already lost. Thinking swiftly pulls you out of the zone. Steve Jobs in his commencement speech in Harvard university said “listen to the inner voice in you. Do not let the voice of others drown your inner intuition. ” Remember, you are not paid for what you know but you are paid for what you do with what you know. ACT!

SEVEN LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES
WE CAN LEARN FROM THE EAGLE:

leaders1

1. Eagles fl y alone and at high altitudes. They don’t fly with sparrows, ravens and other small birds.

MEANING;
Stay away from narrow minded people, those that bring you down. Eagles fly with eagles. Keep good company.

2. Eagles have an accurate vision.
They have the ability to focus on something as far as 5km away. No matter the obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey
until he grabs it.

MEANING;
Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacles and you will succeed.

3. Eagles do not eat dead things.
They feed only on fresh preys.

MEANING;
Do not rely on your past success, keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. Leave your past where it belongs; in the past.

4. Eagles love the storm.
When clouds gather, the eagle gets excited, the eagle uses the storm’s wind to lift itself higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift itself above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the branches and leaves of nearby trees.

MEANING;
Face your challenges head on knowing that these will make you emerge stronger and better than you were. We can use
the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid of challenges, rather they relish them and use them profitably.

5. When a female eagle meets a male eagle and they want to mate, she flies down to earth, picks a twig and flies back into the air with the male eagle in hot pursuit.

Once she has reached a height high enough
for her, she drops the twig and lets it fall to the ground while she watches. The male eagle chases after the twig and catches it before
it reaches the ground, then brings it back to the female eagle.

The female eagle grabs the twig and flies to a much higher altitude and drops the twig again for the male eagle to chase. This goes on for hours with the height increasing each time until the female eagle is assured that the male eagle has mastered the art of picking the twig,
which shows commitment. Then and only then will she allow him to mate with her.

MEANING;
Whether in private life or business, one should test commitment of the people
intended for partnership.

6. Eagles prepare for training;
They remove the feathers and soft grass in the nest so that the young ones get uncomfortable in preparation for flying and eventually fly away when it becomes unbearable to stay in the nest.

MEANING;
Leave your Comfort Zone, there is no growth there.

7. When the eagle grows old, his feathers become weak and cannot take him as fast and as high as needed. This makes him weak and could make him die. So he retires to a place far away in the mountains. While there, he plucks out the weak feathers on his body and breaks its beaks and claws against the rocks until he is
completely bare; a very bloody and painful process. Then he stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, new beak and claws and then he comes out flying higher than before.

MEANING;
We occasionally need to shed off old habits no matter how difficult, things that burden us or add no value to our lives should be gotten rid of.

YES, NEVER GIVE UP;
BE AN EAGLE.
NEVER EVER GIVE UP!”

I just liked this article. I had to share. Hope you enjoyed and learned something.

Success Today Key points.

lake.jpg

– Always have a compelling reason to do something, for being somewhere. What reason do you have to be where you are, are you just waiting to be pushed like a wheelbarrow. Sit down and think what you want to achieve. Make sure you have a compelling strong reason.

– Have a burning desire, something eating you up, something that is pushing you. You can have a reason but without a desire, you can do nothing. Think, have the desire that will make you not sleep. Have a burning desire always to do something great. People who succeed are people who have a desire, people who have made a decision to do something great, something that is not like a walk in the park, a desire to excel, a desire to succeed, a desire to be persistent in the set goals, a desire not to bend principles, a great big desire. What is your desire? A desire to have a good better and awesome tomorrow.

– Have the discipline. Discipline makes you do things that are hard otherwise. Discipline to say no to what you know is wrong, discipline to move away from the sheep, discipline to do first things first, discipline to delay gratification, discipline to behave well, discipline to do the right thing. Its discipline that takes you to places. However, keep your discipline constant, even when no one is watching. Have the discipline to forfeit short term gratification. You are lost without discipline.

– Never give up. Always keep your Hope, don’t succumb to hopelessness. Learn to handle No. Have the fighting spirit. Remember, perseverance never loses. Most often we lose hope when we are just about to succeed. I was born a Victor, I will die a victor but never a victim. I will die a star. I may have scars but I’ll be a star.

– Born as first born in a polygamous family of five wives with many siblings. He is left to be bread winner to all after the dad passed away… But he never became a failure. He worked hard, passed well and went to Moi to do computer science. He graduates became an IBM manager in Kenya, goes on to be the IBM manager in East Africa then the LENOVO manager in Africa Region, then an mp and now the cabinet Secretary. It takes persistence to win.
