THE TROJAN HORSE TO FAILURE.
#The Trojan Horse is a tale from the Trojan War about the subterfuge that the Greeks used to enter the city of Troy and win the war. In the canonical version, after a fruitless 10-year siege, the Greeks constructed a huge wooden horse, and hid a select force of men inside. The Greeks pretended to sail away, and the Trojans pulled the horse into their city as a victory trophy. That night the Greek force crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army, which had sailed back under cover of night. The Greeks entered and destroyed the city of Troy, decisively ending the war.
A “Trojan Horse” has come to mean any trick or stratagem that causes a target to invite a foe into a securely protected bastion or place. ”
What do you think is one of the Trojan horses to failure?
These are the characteristic.
1. It makes one waste a lot of time.
2. It reduces the thinking capacity. The capacity to even see opportunities.
3. It instills fear. Makes people think its unsafe each and every time after few hours. Mainly focusing on the weird things in life.
4. It instills bad morals and corrupts character most often unknowingly. Remember what you hear or see is what you become.
5. Its very addictive.
6. Rarely adds value in life.
I don’t know what you picture but I see the television set almost fits perfectly. News always aim at the weird stuff in life like the fights, corruption, students who did the unheard of and many negativities of life which internally instill fear. We all know fear is the big enemy of success.
Many programs are really not meant to teach but to excite, to elevate one to state of apathy and most often filled with bad morals.
Once in a blue moon do you learn something constructive from it. Moreover, it steals a lot of time. Husbands and wives lose time to spend together and parents lose time to spend with kids. Some programs are really too addictive that it causes quarrels and disagreement when everyone wish to watch something different. Research has it that watching for long hours is a very ideal way to reduce IQ.
The television can also be good but weight the advantages and disadvantages, know how to use it, know what to watch and what not to and know when to watch too. From my research, I would strongly advice you let go of this big liability.
In conclusion, always keep in mind that the television is a trojan horse to failure.
